Rossi Group supported the Maryland State Highway Administration’s (MDOT SHA) I-495 & I-270 Managed Lanes Study, a comprehensive effort to address congestion, improve trip reliability, and enhance multimodal mobility over 50 miles of highway in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. The team contributed to highway design, alternatives analysis, and preliminary engineering, evaluating options such as express toll lanes, HOV/HOT lanes, transit solutions, and Transportation Systems Management strategies.

On the environmental front, Rossi supported NEPA documentation efforts, including Community Effects and Environmental Justice Analyses, as well as technical reports on air quality, noise, hazardous materials, and visual impacts. The team provided stormwater management engineering to minimize project impacts and supported public outreach by coordinating agency and community meetings, preparing materials, summarizing feedback, and drafting responses to public comments. Rossi’s work ensured a robust, data-driven, and community-informed approach to advancing the project’s goals.
