Rossi Group supported the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) by providing transportation planning and concept development services for a potential project aimed at implementing Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSM&O) strategies.
The project focused on evaluating corridor improvements within the existing right-of-way of a 16-mile commuter route in Howard County. This route extends from I-70 at MD 32, east to US 29, and south to MD 100, terminating at I-95.
Our contributions included:
- Project scoping and preparation of a Needs Study
- Development of purpose and need statement
- Alternatives development and evaluation
- Recommendation of the preferred alternative
Rossi Group’s efforts helped identify feasible, efficient strategies to optimize traffic flow and enhance commuter reliability while maintaining alignment with MDOT SHA’s operational goals.
